IMPORTANT NOTICE

Opemican Park: French Immersion Course

As we all know Opemican Park is a reality which will be partially opening during the summer of 2018.  Your Chief and Council have lobbied hard to ensure that their members will have equal access to the many job opportunities within the parkTo increase your chances of obtaining employment in the Opemican Park, we are organizing a training course that would give interested members the minimum French speaking requirements to work within the park.  We are only in the beginning stages offsetting up this program but we need to determine how many of our members would be interested in taking this French immersion program.  To have this program delivered in our community we are looking for a minimum of 15 participants.  Our nearby communities may participate so we can meet the numbers and ensure training. This could represent valuable full-time and seasonal employment for years to come, therefore well worth the investment in the French language training.

Please contact Roxanne McKenzie, 819 627 3455 or rmckenzie@kebaowek.ca,  at the Band Office to have your name put on a list of “People Interested” or if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact Glenda Moore (gmoore@kebaowek.ca)  or Justin Roy (jroy@kebaowek.ca)  at the Band Office (8196273455) for more details.
